Fuji Japanese Steak House

I have been to other Fuji steakhouses and found good service and food. This one I will not return to. I ordered calimari hibachi had it been the first time I likely would have been turned off to ever eating it again. The way it was prepared left me with shoe leather and rice. Way over cooked. Second I knew the people at the restaurant in spite of the fact we had three different groups that showed up near the same time but were there separately they charge us a service fee because we knew each other. Claiming it was more work same number of seats around the grill most of which were occupied by children. Then put on the fact that drinks were never refilled and we had to go get our own chop sticks from the waiters station. The worst service by the most rude hostess and wait staff. Avoid at all costs

The sushi selection is a little bit limited compared to other places i have been to, but you can't beat the price of the sushi lunch combos. Best price on sushi anywhere. The rolls are all very high quality, our favorites are the Seven's rolls, the eel roll, the shrimp tempura roll, and the Hollywood roll. The Hollywood roll goes together very well with the spicier rolls. The soup and salad that come in the combo are also very delicious.

Sushi is always good. Stick with take-out sushi, then you can ignore all the issues with the place. My other half and I have deemed the salads "wet lettuce." That's all it is, wet lettuce and watery salad dressing. They leave the previous person's food on the fork so you can sample it before you even open the menu! Imagine my surprise when I went to eat my salad and there was already food on the fork-what luck! Fuji has a bad reputation because a few years ago, someone posted pictures of roaches on the table. It was legit. I doubt much has changed. The booth benches are broken. You sink down to the ground. The tables are normal height, so you'll feel like a toddler trying to eat at the grown-up table. It feels old and dingy. For years, they had ripped leather couches for you to sit on while you waited for a table. The boards in the couch were broken. I'm not sure what motivated Fuji to remove the frat house party couches, but alas, they are gone. Service has always been prompt and reliable.

Absolutely wonderful food. Cooper greeted me at the door and asked me where I'd like to set. He was very courteous and professional! He introduced me to the sushi chef KD who was just as friendly! KD and I had a great conversation throughout my meal and occasionly Cooper would check in to make sure that I was takin care of and happy. They both suggested the philly roll which I no longer could stuff into my belly! Lol This place is amazing. I got the Halloween roll with a side of the of avacado salad as well as a California roll. I attached a picture of the blow torched Halloween role which was absolutely spectacular and tasty. Prices are about average for a good quality sushi restaurant. They also had a habachi area which I could hear people laughing hysterically with the habachi xhef flinging food and everyone having a great time. I give this place 5 stars out of 5!! I will be back.
